Besides the restyling, new buildings have been added, such as the university campus (Università degli Studi Milano Bicocca) and the Bicocca Village mall. 
In the vicinity you also find the Parco Nord and the ‘Collina dei Ciliegi’ (‘Hill of the cherry trees’) with panoramic views of the city.
